Bible Verses for an Unfaithful Husband
You found out, and now the ground itself feels unreliable. Betrayal by the person who promised you everything is a particular devastation — grief and anger and disbelief all at once. God does not minimize it. He calls betrayal by its name and stays close to the betrayed.
Betrayal by a husband breaks something word-deep. Psalm 34:18 says, “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted,” and Hosea 2:14 shows God’s own way with the wandering: “I will allure her and lead her to the wilderness, and speak to her tenderly.”
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.
“Therefore, behold, I will allure her and lead her to the wilderness, and speak to her tenderly.
Even my close friend whom I trusted, the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
God is within her; she will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
Your grief is allowed
Even David wrote, “Even my close friend whom I trusted, the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me” (Psalm 41:9). You do not have to forgive on a schedule, explain it to anyone, or decide anything this week. Breathe first.
Guarding your heart while you decide
Two anchors for the waiting: Proverbs 3:5 — trust God when you cannot trace Him — and Romans 12:19, which takes justice out of your hands: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” What happens next is yours to discern slowly, with God and with people you trust.
A prayer for a betrayed wife
Lord, I am hurt in a place I trusted most. You see the whole truth of it, and I don’t have to carry it alone. Give me wisdom for what comes next and strength for today. Keep bitterness from taking root. Hold my heart together, and be nearer than the wound. Whatever happens, do not let me go. I trust You with all of it. Amen.
