Bible Verses for a High-Risk Pregnancy
Extra monitors, careful language from doctors, a calendar measured in weeks instead of trimesters — a high-risk pregnancy asks a mother to hope and brace at the same time. That is exhausting. God is not asking you to pretend it isn’t.
A high-risk pregnancy means living one appointment at a time. Psalm 91:1 offers a dwelling place: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty,” and Isaiah 41:10 says, “I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.”

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.

For the bedrest days
When your world shrinks to a room, let the room become a shelter. Psalm 91 is the Bible’s great covering psalm — read it slowly, and let verse 4 settle over you: under His wings you find refuge. Bedrest is not wasted time; it is you guarding a life, and God guarding you both.
Praying over complications
Pray with Psalm 139 open. Every day of this baby’s development is written in His book before one of them comes to be. The complications are known to Him too — nothing about this pregnancy has escaped His attention.
A prayer for a high-risk pregnancy
Lord, You see this baby and You see me, and neither of us is out of Your sight for a moment. Cover us both. Give the doctors sharp eyes and wise judgment. Give me courage for the monitoring, the waiting, the unknowns. Let Your peace stand guard over my heart and over this little life. Keep us safely to the day we meet. Amen.
